Currently, the procedure for purchasing real estate in Croatia for foreigners includes establishing a Croatian legal entity and acquiring the property under it. In addition, if the investor is the owner of companies registered in countries that have a valid reciprocity agreement with Croatia, the property can be acquired by those companies.
Since July 2006, Croatian authorities have received 8,100 requests for the acquisition of real estate in the country by foreigners. According to Prian.ru, the largest number came from Germans and Austrians.
In this regard, we can cite statistics from the agency Centar Nekretnina, according to which in October 2008, the annual growth rate of real estate prices in the country was 2.6%. On the Adriatic coast of Croatia, the average cost per square meter reaches €2,000.
