Renato Moretto is a British national with 39 years of experience in the hospitality and tourism industry, having worked in many international hotels. He assumed his new position on May 3, 2015.
Renato Moretto transferred to Jumeirah from Al Bandary Hotel Management in Qatar, where he served as General Manager for Development, Control, and Operations for seven company properties. Previously, he was General Manager at Nungwi Resort & Spa in Zanzibar, Tanzania – a five-star luxury beach resort on the Indian Ocean. Renato Moretto also acted as General Manager for the opening of the Regency Hotel and Convention Centre in Kuwait.
In the past, Renato held various senior positions at Sonesta Pharaoh Beach Resort in Egypt, Sonesta Great Bay Beach Resort on the island of Saint Martin in the Netherlands, and the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham, UK. Moretto's early career includes positions at Sonesta in Egypt, Jebel Ali Golf Resort & Spa in the UAE, Cliff Bay Resort Hotel in Portugal, and Holiday Inn in Muscat, Oman. He began his career with Intercontinental Hotel Group.
