In Greece there is always something to see: Byzantine fortresses, ancient sculptures and very ancient monuments. On the other hand, Greece is part of the eurozone and the European Union. In addition, in favor of this country are the excellent climate, friendly locals and the beauty of the environment.
But not everyone can get into the land of the Olympic gods and games. To enter the country, you need a national visa to Greece or a Schengen visa and a valid foreign passport that is valid for at least another six months after the intended trip. Also, you need to have a sum of money at the rate of 50 dollars per day. It is better to exchange money into currency right away so that nothing distracts from rest later.
The trip will cost a relatively round sum – about 300-1200 euros. But there are a lot of offers, and all of them include interesting excursions. It is difficult to choose – you want to see this or that city, site. Who among us has not heard of the Parthenon or the Acropolis in the capital? It is worth going there in particular.
In general, it is better to plan a couple of vacations and carefully get acquainted with Greece. Of course, be sure to spend a few days in Athens with its Museum of Archaeology or the Acropolis, as well as the Monastiraki souvenir shop district. And by evening, it would be nice to go to the Parliament building. There is a changing of the guard there. It is always interesting! Just like in the UK or Vatican.

For example, Lindos or Mykonos, or Santorini. On the latter there is a volcano that once destroyed the Minoan civilization. Well, the beautiful beaches cannot fail to attract numerous tourists.
There are also mountains with eternal snow in this country, where you can ski down. Yes, note the contrast: sun and snow all year round. Excellent! They even build houses on the rocks.
And now let's talk about food. It is better to eat in local taverns, because they are designed not for tourists, but for Greeks who constantly live here. Naturally, the prices are lower and the quality is the same. Some serve seafood dishes, others meat dishes. Be sure to order at least once baked potatoes, meat, eggplants and tomatoes. This deliciousness is called moussaka. We also recommend eating beef with vegetables and rice as a side dish – giouvetsi. And how can you do without wine, accompanied by souvlaki (lamb skewers) and tzatziki (yogurt sauce with cucumbers and garlic)?
Waiters and taxi drivers in Greece expect tips from tourists in the amount of 10% of the bill, and the staff of any hotel will be happy with even two tenths of a euro for their services.
