Port City of Caesarea

The construction of the port city used a system of parallel and intersecting streets, which were decorated with various sculptures and exclusive columns. In Caesarea, temples, administrative buildings, amphitheaters, and of course port facilities were built. The floors of most buildings were decorated with mosaics.

Today, Caesarea is an archaeological park that anyone can visit. Excavations are being carried out in the National Park, showing what the city used to be like. But due to the rise in sea level, most of the excavations take place underwater. The Roman amphitheater, which is currently in use, was found in one of the excavations. Also found were: a hippodrome, giant statues located on a paved square, various manuscripts, and many other interesting structures built during the founding of this port city.

Yes, fascinating... Although apartments in the center of Tel Aviv might be more interesting for some to visit.

In 1940, in the southern part of Caesarea, the European Colonization Society acquired a piece of land, where they founded a kibbutz called Sdot Yam. Nearby is one of Israel's largest power stations.

North of the ancient city, in 1977, an Israeli settlement began to be built. The city of millionaires is located around the sand dunes of Caesarea. It is very beautiful here, but booking rooms at the Aurora Hotel is still easier than here.

Caesarea has various restaurants, cafes, beaches, and clubs where you can relax comfortably and have a good time. This city has many attractions both during the day and late at night. Young people will not be bored here, there are places to have fun and relax wonderfully. During the day, you can go on various excursions and study the history of the city. And in the evening, go to a café.
