Hotel 'Odyssey' in Sudak
My husband and I start preparing for our family vacation in winter. First we choose a place, then we study prices for a long time, and even longer – a suitable place to stay. We have two children aged 6 and 10, so we always want the boarding house to provide meals (since I don't want to cook on vacation), have all the conditions for a comfortable stay, and a pool. Plus, we were looking for a place with an animator, and for our latitudes, you know, that's a rarity.
For the last few years we went to Turkey, but this year we decided to go to Crimea, especially since, judging by webcams, there were few people on the beaches, an ideal opportunity. Friends had long recommended Sudak because there are mountains, a large promenade for relaxation, and prices are not as high as on the Southern Coast of Crimea.
We searched for a suitable option on the internet for a long time and, honestly, we were tempted by the discount offered by the private hotel 'Odyssey'. We booked a room in advance. It's convenient that the website has a virtual tour; you can see everything in detail. It's convenient that you can order transportation at the hotel. We used it because we didn't want to travel across the whole city with bags and beach umbrellas. The children were immediately delighted that there was a water park near the hotel.
In general, the place is beautiful: everything is decorated in Greek style, and there are mountains around. A paradise for those who like to relax not on a crowded city beach. For a moderate fee, you could take a walk on Mount Alchak.
It's also very important for me that the hotel is post-renovation. Well, 'Odyssey' was actually built about 5 years ago, so everything is clean and new, a pleasure to look at.
I admit that for several days we couldn't even get to the sea; we didn't leave the pool. But generally, you could walk to the sea in about 10 minutes at a leisurely pace.
At 'Odyssey' there are rooms for every budget: simpler and luxury. We took a simpler one to have more money for various excursions.
I was pleased that meals could be ordered. And my husband and I also got the opportunity to spend time with each other while on vacation with the children. We sent our little rascals to the children's room for a few hours.
And also, of course, the staff surprised me in a good way. Everyone knows about the city, they advised many times where to go, and they fulfilled all our whims instantly. Such service, I tell you, you don't always find even in Egypt.
In short, if I could give a rating, it would be five out of five. My expectations were not disappointed at all. Now when I tell people that we vacationed in Sudak with children, I always remember and recommend 'Odyssey'. So far nobody has been dissatisfied or disappointed. On the contrary, everyone thanks me.
If you want to have a really good and inexpensive vacation, whether with children or just with company, definitely go to Sudak. The Genoese Fortress alone is worth it. Plus the sea is very clean and warm because it's in a bay. We personally plan to go to Crimea again next year.
