Where to Stay in Berlin? Travel Smart!

The most famous 5-star hotels in Berlin are Bristol Kempinski, Grand Esplanade, Grand Hyatt, Leonardo Royal, Swissotel, Pullman, and Adlon Kempinski. There are already 4-5 times more 4-star hotels that are relatively well-known in the service market, so you should focus on price and location that is most convenient for sightseeing, business programs, or tourism purposes in a particular case.

For those who want to save significantly, hostels are intended. They are also available in the center and in other, more remote areas. First of all, you should pay attention to the tourist areas themselves – they usually have the highest concentration of hotels, including budget ones. For example, in the Kurfürstendamm area there is Savoy and many other hotels – Kempinski, Steingenbergen and others. Away from the central streets there are pension houses.

There is also a cozy solution in the form of chain hotels Motel-One. The chain of 2-star hotels is conveniently located in the very center of the city. Chain NH Hotels, 3* and 4*, are also loved by tourists for their 'not scary' prices, despite being located in the capital of the most sought-after EU country.

The eastern part of Berlin is ideal for those who love pomp and the maximum number of stars. Hotels Adlon, Hotel de Rome will show the maximum of splendor in hospitality. At the same time, lovers of cozy places with a very budget price look for them in the western part of Berlin.

For sightseeing, it is better to choose the Berlin-Mitte district near Friedrichstraße. From here you can visit all the significant places for tourists, and the hotels here have a low room price.

Alexanderplatz and Anhalter Bahnhof are distinguished by a large number of 2- and 3-star hotels, such as Ibis, Etap. And the maximum number of hotels per square kilometer in Berlin is shown in the historic City West, near the zoo.

The most budget-friendly remain youth hostels – Jugendherbergen, as well as dormitories. The latter are practically indistinguishable from hostels, but they have no age restrictions. No one forbids renting private accommodation or preferring a guesthouse. And for the summer, you can offer tourists camping. Although it accepts guests year-round, it is most comfortable here in the summer.
