French to describe all horrors of tobacco smoking

Each cigarette pack will have two warnings about the harm of tobacco to health printed on it. The authors of the instruction specifically stipulated the design of these messages: black bold letters on a white background, both messages in a thick black frame. 30% of the front surface of the pack must be given to one of the two warning texts that smoking kills or significantly harms the health of the smoker and others.

In addition, one of the 14 warnings proposed by Brussels will be printed on the reverse side: “Smoking causes impotence”, “Protect children: don’t make them inhale tobacco smoke”, etc. Also banned will be any inscriptions that give the impression that the danger of smoking is not so great: light, lager or mild. Old packs will be completely withdrawn from sale on May 1, 2004, reports IA Rosbalt.
