"Forest Park" is a year-round health complex located in one of the most picturesque corners of Donbas
In neighboring Poland, in the city of Wrocław, an eco-hostel called "Flower Power" recently opened. Every detail of this small guesthouse is designed to help protect the environment. All rooms of the hotel are equipped with energy-saving technology, and strict waste sorting control is carried out on the hotel premises.
The owners of the Flower Power hotel took nature protection principles into account when furnishing the rooms. All hotel furniture is made of wood. And most of the inevitable inorganic waste here is not thrown away but goes for recycling. Yogurt cups, for example, are turned by local designers into lamps and light fixtures that illuminate the hotel lobby. The cost of staying at the eco-hostel starts from 10 euros.
Another example of affordable eco-friendly vacation is the Spanish hotel Trekking Tower. And although the hotel has not yet opened, it can already be said that it will become one of the most interesting projects in the hotel industry.
The Trekking Tower hotel will be a 25-story building, all floors of which are styled as open terraces decorated with natural trees. Guests can stay on the terrace, as if in the forest, settling in an ordinary tourist tent. According to the project, the upper floors of the eco-hotel will offer a picturesque view of Barcelona. The owners of Trekking Tower assure that their hotel will be affordable for almost any European.
However, hotel operators do not forget to open eco-friendly hotels aimed at wealthy guests as well.
For example, recently in China, the world's first "green" five-star hotel, Power Valley Jinjiang International Hotel, opened. The main highlight of the hotel is that it "collects" absolutely all the necessary energy itself – with the help of solar panels.
In Ukraine, unfortunately, things are much worse with eco-friendly vacation. The reason is the high cost of building eco-hotels, which naturally affects the cost of staying in them. Yet eco-friendly hotels do exist in Ukraine. Moreover, last year a system of environmental certification for hotels and restaurants was developed, which took into account many factors: from energy saving and water conservation to providing guests with organic food.
True, in most cases, "green" hotels in Ukraine refer to more or less equipped private houses in rural areas with friendly hosts, where you can get honey and homemade sour cream.
But the comfortable Donetsk hotel "Forest Park", built in the Velikoanadolsky forest, or the same "Green Grove" (one of the inexpensive hotels in Donetsk region), located in picturesque Svyatogorsk, can by no means be called rural houses. It is not for nothing that they are filled not only in summer but also in the off-season.
There are also many eco-hotels in Western Ukraine – for example, the network of guesthouses "Family Nest" near Vinnytsia.
