Documents for obtaining a British visa

Invitation/letter of guarantee explaining the nature of your relationship with the sponsor (e.g., maternal uncle, business partner, friend, etc.), clearly stated purpose and duration of your trip. The letter must also include the full address of your guarantor in the UK and his telephone number.
Confirmation of your additional income (if any). Confirmation of your spouse's income (if married) and your savings (if any). All bank references must clearly indicate the amount of savings as of the present time.
Confirmation of the sufficiency and income of your guarantor in the UK (for example, pay slips, bank statements of his account). The visa department is not interested in the financial state of your sponsor, but only in confirmation that he is able to cover a certain part of the expenses related to your trip.
A letter from your employer or immediate supervisor, clearly stating his name, position, work address and telephone number. The letter must indicate the length of your employment at the institution, salary, position, purpose of the trip, duration of your annual leave and expected date of return to work. It must be indicated whether the organisation you work for finances your trip, and if so, what amount it allocates.
Confirmation of the turnover and profitability of your company, which allows you to make this trip. Registration documents of the Ukrainian company and confirmation of business contacts with a company in the UK.
All documents relating to the issues mentioned in the notice issued to you upon the previous refusal(s) of a visa.
Confirmation of hotel reservation, payment or prepayment of the trip.
Correspondence with the guarantor/sponsor in the UK or other evidence of contacts (for example, telephone bills).

A responsible officer of the visa department may ask you to provide any other documents not listed above.

Tourist visas Confirmation of your additional income (if any), other than those specified in item 2 (see below). Confirmation of your wife's/husband's income (if married) and your savings (if any). All bank statements must clearly indicate the amount of savings as of the present time.
A letter from your immediate supervisor, clearly stating his name, position, office address and telephone number. The letter must state your position, salary, length of your work at this institution; purpose of your trip, duration of annual leave and date of return to work. It should also be indicated whether your institution will finance this trip and to what amount.
Confirmation of hotel reservation, payment or prepayment of the trip.
Confirmation of your previous travels abroad.

Student visas A letter from a British educational institution stating the final deadline until which your tuition has been paid, and the amount paid, as well as the amount of debt remaining to be paid (if any). The letter must include the number of lecture hours per week.
Confirmation of your additional income (if any), other than that specified in the next item. Confirmation of your family's income and your savings (if any). All bank statements must clearly indicate the amount of savings as of the current time.
A letter from your employer or immediate supervisor, clearly stating his name, position, official address and telephone numbers. The letter must state the period of your work at the institution, salary, position, purpose of the trip, institutional funding of your trip, duration of annual leave and date of return to work.
If you are studying - a letter from the educational institution in Ukraine stating the name, position, work address and telephone of the author of the letter. The letter must state when you started your studies at this institution, a list of exams passed to date, the expected date of completion of studies and the date when you are to resume your studies after returning from the UK.
A letter from the person/enterprise financing your studies, stating the reasons for payment and confirmation of the payer's financial capacity.
Confirmation of previous English language study (e.g., certificates, workbooks, etc.).
Confirmation that you and your company use English for work (e.g., correspondence in English with foreign companies).
Original grade book and student ID card (if you are studying).

Spouse (husband/wife)/fiancé (fiancée) visas

These documents can help you obtain a visa for a husband (wife)/fiancé (fiancée): Copies of the passport pages of your husband (wife)/fiancé (fiancée) containing personal details, information about his/her citizenship or immigration status, as well as copies of all other pages containing immigration stamps that can confirm any of your joint travels.
Your internal passport.
A copy of the marriage certificate (if any).
A copy of the divorce certificate (if you or your fiancé(e) have previously been married).
A notarized letter certifying that your former husband (wife) does not object to his (her) child(ren) leaving with you to the United Kingdom for permanent residence.
Confirmation of accommodation arrangements in the United Kingdom (for example, a tenancy agreement or a letter from a building society if your husband (wife)/fiancé(e) is a homeowner). Of course, you and your sponsor must occupy separate accommodation sufficient for two persons.
Confirmation of employment and income of your husband (wife)/fiancé(e) (for example, a letter from his/her employer).
Confirmation of the savings of your husband (wife)/fiancé(e) in the United Kingdom (recent bank statements or building society statements).
A letter from your employer or immediate supervisor stating the duration of your employment with the organization, your salary, and the position you hold (held) for the last 5 years.
Confirmation of any additional family income, other than that specified in item 9 (if any).
Any evidence of the duration and depth of your relationship (letters, telephone bills, photographs, etc.).
