As Travel.ru reports, on international flights, two bags can still be checked for free, but the fee for a third has increased from $150 to $200. The fourth and fifth bags will cost $350 (was $150), and the sixth through tenth – $600 (was $300). Fees for suitcases exceeding the standard 23 kilograms have doubled. Transporting such baggage will cost $150 per item (was $80), and a bag weighing more than 32 kilograms – $300 (was $150).
On domestic flights, since March, only one piece of baggage can be carried for free. The fee for a second has been raised from $25 to $50, for a third – from $80 to $125, for all others – from $80-180 to $200. An overweight bag will cost $90 instead of $80 (carrying a suitcase over 32 kilograms – $175 instead of $150). Baggage with dimensions exceeding 162 cm (62 inches) in total of three measurements will cost $175 (previously $150).
At the same time, according to the airline's rules, if baggage has 'violations' on several points, the fee is cumulative. That is, an additional bag weighing 50 kilograms and measuring 180 cm will fly on an international flight for $675 ($200+$300+$175).
The new fees are valid for tickets purchased after July 31. For flights paid for earlier, the old rates remain.
