What you need to know about hotel operations?

To make everything clear, a decryption is provided: SNGL (single) – single occupancy, room with a single bed; DBL (double) – double occupancy, room with one double bed; TWIN (twin) – twin occupancy, room with two separate beds; TRPL (triple) – triple occupancy (can be either three separate beds or one double bed + one single bed); the symbol EXB (extra bed) means an extra bed (for example, an adult or child on an extra bed).

As for meal plans, it is not always clear here either – many hotels in Yaroslavl are limited to the symbols BB or HB. So, BB means that breakfast is included in the room rate, HB means half board (breakfast + lunch or breakfast + dinner), FB means full board or three meals a day, All means all inclusive, that is, the room rate includes meals (3-6 times a day) and locally produced drinks, including alcoholic ones.

In resort hotels, there is also sometimes UAll – ultra all inclusive, where in addition to meals and alcoholic drinks of local and imported production, you will also be offered freshly squeezed juices and ice cream, as they do at the Yuta Hotel.

About check-out time

In almost all hotels in the world (and Yaroslavl is no exception), check-out time is set at 12:00. Check-in to rooms is guaranteed by 14:00; in apartment hotels, this time may be extended by 1 hour (until 15:00). If you arrive at the hotel early in the morning, you must definitely notify the administration in advance and be prepared that you may need to pay extra for early check-in.

An additional fee is also charged for late check-out. Usually, hourly payment is made from 12:00 to 18:00, and after 18:00 you will have to pay for the room as for a full day. In order not to find yourself in an unpleasant situation, the best advice is to always familiarize yourself with the hotel rules, which you will find in your room after check-in.

About services

In addition to knowing the basic notations, when checking into a hotel you need to clearly find out which services are included in the room rate (for example, meals, Internet) and which are paid additionally (sauna, mini-bar). Be sure to pay attention to the availability of a swimming pool, sauna, gym, beauty salon, restaurant, store. It will also be good if the hotel has entertainment facilities – billiards, football and basketball fields, tennis court (more applicable to country hotels in Yaroslavl).

Almost every hotel in Yaroslavl has its own website on the Internet, where you can find all the most detailed information about the hotel you like (including possible types of accommodation, meal plans, check-in rules and check-out time), view photos of the grounds, rooms, cafes, restaurants, conference hall, lobby and other premises. This will help you form an impression of the hotel. However, remember that the most accurate information you can find out from reviews of tourists who have already been there.
