According to the study results, hotels in Tokyo were recognized as optimal in terms of price-quality ratio, while the worst were in New York, Moscow and London.
"The results of the study turned out to be unexpected," says the message from the study authors. "For example, the top ten in 2008 did not include hotels in Paris, Rome and Madrid, leading tourist cities in Europe. And New York, London and Moscow did not even make the top twenty."
In addition, as Interfax reports, none of the 20 best cities in the ranking received the maximum number of votes. The leader of the ranking – Tokyo – has only 7.8 points out of 10 possible. In second place are hotels in Lisbon, in third – Prague. Fourth and fifth places were taken by Berlin and Beijing.
