Signaling
The need to "play partisan" during the game does not negate the need and importance of timely signaling to your teammates. Please note that sign language is not suitable for paintball, as players are not always able to see each other and, accordingly, decipher hand signals. Our advice: do not be silent. Develop a system of code words and signals that will clearly convey necessary information among teammates. Remember, paintball is a team game, and the team must act together.
Territory Control
The battlefield must be kept under control from end to end. You should always be aware of what is happening behind you. Do not focus your gaze on one spot/object or allow "tunnel vision." The key to your team's victory in paintball is constant, vigilant control over the entire area of operations.
Clock Orientation
In paintball, the coordinates of a cunning enemy hiding somewhere on a hill behind a bush are easiest to convey using "clock" directions. For example, if the opponent is directly in front, they are at "12 o'clock"; to the right, at "three o'clock"; nearly to the left, at "half past eight." Additionally, it helps to report the approximate distance in meters.
In Pairs
Note that key positions in paintball are easier to defend in pairs, because if both defenders are defending simultaneously, the enemy will have no choice but to concentrate several of their players there. This positioning will undoubtedly weaken their positions at another key point, which your team will not fail to exploit.
Route Planning
It is very important that your movement route goes through places where your opponents are unlikely to appear. In paintball, you need to keep track, as much as possible, of the number of surviving fighters on both your team and the enemy's. Your task is to strike at the most vulnerable points, and to do that, you must probe them.
Instant Response
Learn to respond quickly to enemy actions. Any delay can lead to defeat. In paintball, you must not give the enemy time to recover. Act preemptively, react instantly. The key here is experience, skill development, and bringing them to automaticity.

Make it a rule to create an action plan for your team before every paintball game. Do not repeat yourself; be different, unpredictable. Otherwise, experienced players will be able to predict and calculate all your actions in advance, reducing your chances of victory to zero. Unpredictability, originality, and tactical thinking are the set of qualities of an excellent fighter in the most dynamic and crazy game, i.e., paintball.
No Time for Slow Dancing
We repeat, paintball is a very, very dynamic game. Be decisive! Do not let the enemy win a single minute. Speed of reaction, swiftness of attack, pace of the game – everything should work in your favor.
Crawling to Victory
If you come under a hail of fire from one or several positions and clearly feel the need to retreat, don't even think about standing up and running on your feet. No matter how fast you run, you're guaranteed several hits in the back. It's better to lie on your stomach and crawl away.
Scatter
Positioning fighters in a line one behind another in paintball is a great gift to the enemy, who gets an excellent chance to suppress several opponents at once. Disperse!
With a Volley!
Push the enemy out of key positions by using all your firepower. If you start firing with several markers at once, you will leave the enemy no chance to hold the position. The enemy retreats – the line will be taken.
Ready and Waiting
To save as much time as possible, which is so important in paintball, be sure to prepare to shoot before you even peek out from cover. Even a fraction of a second may be enough to make you the one who downs the opponent, not the other way around.
To Remember
Try to somehow fix in your mind the location of the enemy's ambush, so you don't have to wait again and again for them to move and reveal themselves. Any landmarks, noticeable details, and terrain features will help you in this. In paintball, the most attentive and perceptive win.

Your goal is to confuse your opponent. For example, by starting the battle with a big advantage on the right flank, during the game you discreetly move your players to the left. In paintball, it is extremely important to hide your fundamental tactical maneuvers as much as possible.
Movement is life
In paintball, a constantly moving fighter is a difficult target for the opponent. It is harder to shoot him or outflank him. Remember that your continuous movements can make life very difficult for the opponent.
