The streets of Palanga are always crowded
Unsurprisingly, over the years more and more of our compatriots travel to countries that were once part of the mighty Soviet Union. The aspirations of many vacationers are directed towards Lithuania – a small republic on the coast of the Baltic Sea. Cozy hotels in Palanga, which firmly holds the status of one of the most visited resorts in western Lithuania, hospitably open their doors to everyone who arrives here for educational or other purposes.
Practice shows that no linguistic barrier arises between locals, hotel staff, and visitors. Everyone freely communicates in Russian, resulting in no communication problems. From history we remember that from the 1940s the republic became part of the USSR – Russian had the status of a state language in Lithuania for many years.
