Now, only citizens of the Czech Republic or one of the EU member states can be hired for the 'removed' positions.
We remind that the 'green cards' system, designed for the employment of highly qualified workers in 'deficit' professions from foreign countries, began operating this year.
As reported by «Radio Prague», the statistical report of the Ministry of Labor shows that in January the number of foreign workers in the Czech Republic decreased by 12,000. Of these, 50% were workers from Slovakia, 1,300 Ukrainians, 1,200 Polish workers, 2,000 from Vietnam, and more than a thousand migrant workers from Mongolia. Ministry specialists associate this reduction with the economic crisis.
