According to Mag Consulting, the increase in the number of tourists arriving in summer will compensate for the shortfall of foreign visitors to the Czech Republic in the first quarter of this year, caused by uncertainty over the war in Iraq. Over the whole year, the Czech Republic will be visited by the same number of tourists as last year, when the main tourist season ended prematurely because of August floods.
Analysts expect up to 10 million foreign tourists to come to the Czech Republic, who will spend at least a few days here. The total number of visitors to the country, i.e., tourists and those coming for just one day, will increase by 2.5 million compared with last year, reaching 100 million.
