'Green cards' could be obtained by citizens of those countries that will be included in the list of the Czech Ministry of the Interior. The application for this document would be processed in the foreigner's home country at the embassy of the Czech Republic.
Information on vacancies will be available on the website of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, where a list of job openings that have not been filled by citizens of the Czech Republic or the European Union within 30 days will be posted. The law will strictly define the deadlines and conditions for issuing permits.
Although the opposition opposed the law, drawing attention to the risk of importing dangerous diseases such as AIDS or tuberculosis, as well as a decrease in security, Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Petr Nečas hopes that this law will simplify the employment procedure for foreigners and limit possible corruption.
As reported by «Radio Prague», the new version of the law will come into force if it is approved by the senators and the president of the Czech Republic.
