The average Czech can save for an apartment in 11 years
As reported by Vinegret.cz, the calculations used the so-called "gross salary" (before tax deductions), since the amounts of tax deductions differ across countries.
The Czech Republic came first in the current study. The ranking clearly shows how Czech real estate prices have soared in recent years: back in 2014, the country's figure was 7.1 years.
Compared to last year, the average price per square meter in new buildings in Prague increased by 9.7% to 2,587 euros. In Brno – by 5.3% to 2,052 euros.
Today, it is easiest for residents of Belgium to save for a new apartment – they need only 3.7 years. The cities with the most expensive real estate in Europe are recognized as Paris (10,697 euros per square meter) and Inner London (16,512 euros).
