Brussels leads in number of residential burglaries

Based on its analysis of national data for 2004, it was established that in Brussels during that period an average of 11.2 residential burglaries were committed per thousand inhabitants.

As reported by RIA Novosti, the three most unfavorable European capitals in this regard were London and Amsterdam (8.8 registered burglaries each), as well as Tallinn (5.4).

In contrast, the smallest number of residential burglaries among major European cities was recorded in 2004 in Luxembourg – 0.3 cases per thousand inhabitants.
