Regarding contacts between the business elites of the two countries, the parties quickly reached an understanding: Ukrainian and Bulgarian businessmen are not satisfied with the level of cooperation, and they prefer not just to trade with each other but to cooperate in joint investment projects, both at the bilateral level and within international organizations such as BSEC or OSCE.
Regarding the easing of the visa regime, the response of the Bulgarian president (which, by the way, was inaccurately translated) was categorical: there is no way back. One can only talk about simplifying the procedure for obtaining Bulgarian visas by intensifying consular activities. But the Bulgarian side left a faint glimmer of hope: experts from the ministries of foreign affairs of Ukraine and Bulgaria are working on possibilities to simplify the procedure for obtaining Bulgarian visas for Ukrainian citizens.
