“Despite the collapse of US credit markets and the fall of the forex market in Europe, the likelihood of a price collapse for real estate in Europe and America is quite high, the cost of housing in Bulgaria will continue to grow and gradually equal the price level in Western Europe,” predicts Yulia Meshcheryakova, an analyst at MonVille-Lemestia Group. “But this convergence will be gradual.”
Among those who are most actively interested in real estate in Bulgaria are Russians. And if earlier about 70-75% of home buyers in this Balkan country were Britons and Germans, now our compatriots have entered into competition with them. In some projects, the share of buyers from Russia reaches 40-45%. And over the past year, the number of our compatriots who decided to buy square meters in Bulgaria increased by 110% compared to the same period in 2006. If we continue the topic of statistics and consider 13 countries where Russians actively purchase real estate, then 22% will go to Bulgaria, about 15% to Spain and Montenegro, reports Ners.ru.
