At the resort of Elenite there is everything to relax comfortably
Take, for example, the resort town of Elenite. A small beach town built by the Finns. You won't find typical Russian Black Sea architecture here; everything is beautiful, European-style. It is one of the Bulgarian resorts where you can feel like a European. There are few such resorts in Bulgaria.
I came across an interesting piece of news. It concerns the economy of all of Bulgaria and, in general, the changes that have begun and will occur in the near future. The news is: "Before the start of the tourist season in Bulgaria, due to unpaid loans, bailiffs began to seal hotels. More than 30 hotels on the Bulgarian coast have been put up for public auction. Many hotel owners on the coast decided not to wait for bailiffs and put their hotels up for sale themselves."
If you look at the prices, for a Muscovite it's pennies. So there's the crisis – it hit one of the cheapest resort countries in Europe.
Why are hotels being sold? After all, the influx of tourists does not stop. One reason is the seasonality of holidays in Bulgaria. The season starts in April and ends in early October. The rest of the time, hotels sit idle. And new hotels? Tourists stay in those that tour operators have chosen for them, in other words, they stay in hotels that offered the minimum price.
And another piece of news. A couple of major Russian tour operators have seriously taken up developing the Bulgarian direction. Well, of course! In a crisis, Bulgaria will drop holiday prices to a ridiculous minimum.
By the way, about hotels. At some resorts in Bulgaria, Finnish and French architects have worked hard, and hotels meet all European class requirements. This is in reference to the already mentioned resort of Elenite. And even at the already proven and popular resorts of Black Sea Bulgaria like Sunny Beach, the hotels are quite high level. Of course, you can still find rooms like "beds in a row". But these are leftovers from the Soviet past.
What am I getting at? If you look at it, a crisis isn't so bad. You can inexpensively visit those countries that, instead of raising holiday prices, lower them. That's another reason why I decided to go to Bulgaria.
