An OECD study says that over the past decades, the rich have benefited from economic growth in developed countries. In OECD countries, the average income of the richest 10% was almost 9 times higher than that of the poorest 10%. Moreover, among the poorest 10% of the population, the most at risk are now not the elderly, but children and adolescents.
As Lenta.ru notes, the situation is worst in Canada, Germany, Norway, and the United States. At the same time, in Greece, Mexico, and the United Kingdom, this gap is narrowing.
