Language tours are gaining popularity

Complete immersion in a language environment, even for a couple of weeks, completely removes the 'language barrier'

Modern tour operators offer trips to one of 40 countries, where tourists will be in close contact with native speakers. English via Skype is certainly interesting, but live communication proves more productive. Tour operators organize both group and individual tours for adults. As for children and teenagers up to 17 years old, holiday programs are more attractive for them.

Such programs include morning language classes as well as sports and entertainment activities held in the evening or after lunch. Group educational programs are cheaper but involve a number of restrictions. In particular, students in one group must be approximately the same age.

There are also language programs for the youngest children. They welcome children aged 5 and older, but only together with parents. Such programs are most common in Malta and England. For children aged 7-12, international children's camps are created. Here, a child can be sent to English courses either individually or as part of a group. The duration of study is on average 2-4 weeks.

As for schoolchildren aged 13 and older, they have the widest choice of programs in a variety of countries. Many of them offer the possibility of organizing education and accommodation for parents with children directly in teachers' families.

If a child needs to improve pronunciation or undergo serious preparation for admission to an English school or university, British language courses provide the best results. In the USA, UK, and Canada, the most popular programs are 'Language and Sport.' David Beckham's Football Academy in London and Los Angeles operates on this system. The programs are designed for girls and boys aged 11-16 and last from 8 to 15 days. The training part of such programs was developed by David himself, as well as renowned children's coach Eric Harrison. In addition to training and learning English, vacationers go on excursions.

Not everyone has time to take a child to specialized courses or travel to the office of a training company themselves. In this case, studying English via Skype can be a solution. You can schedule a lesson during a lunch break or do it when you are already at home or after work. Besides saving time, distance learning can reduce your training expenses.
