The law banning a traditional pastime of the British aristocracy was passed with difficulty. In the new season, hunters will only be able to use lures for animals and shoot them during the chase. However, it is not yet clear how the police will punish violators of the law. This issue must be resolved by the British authorities in the near future.
The coming into force of the law caused panic among those whose business is hound hunting. Owners of trained horses and dogs do not yet know how they can use them now. There are 312 hound hunting clubs in the UK, and it is expected that their members will organize protests against the new law.
