Britain to create special camps for immigrants outside Europe

Britain previously proposed to EU countries to create camps outside the EU's borders, where refugees and asylum seekers would be held while their applications are being processed. The purpose of creating such camps is to stop illegal immigration and also reduce the costs of processing applications. EU interior ministers are going to discuss this possibility at a meeting in Luxembourg. However, some countries doubt the legality and practical applicability of such a plan.
