The population density in Malta exceeds 1,200 people per square kilometer.
According to expert forecasts, by 2031 the population density in the UK will increase to 464 people per square kilometer. Current growth is achieved through immigration, since the low birth rate among the local population does not even ensure its maintenance at the current level, and it is rapidly aging. The number of pensioners in the UK recently exceeded the number of children for the first time.
As Lenta.ru notes, the level of emigration from the UK is also high. One explanation for this is the relatively high levels of crime and taxation in the country.
