Even beginners feel stable on a quad bike
Today, active and adventure tourism is quite popular in large cities: multisport, rock climbing, river rafting, auto tourism, yachting, kiting, diving, etc. Moreover, it is accessible not only to professionals but also to «newbies», for whom there are training courses and programs that help them adapt to the new world of water sports.
Today we will talk about several water-based types of active tourism.
Lovers of water and high speeds can try to «ride» a jet ski. They are sporty («stand-up» aquabike) with speeds from 100 km/h and quite difficult to control. However, «sitting» models are more suitable for beginner «riders». They can be 1-4 seaters and reach speeds of about 80 km/h. It is better to get acquainted with this watercraft together with an instructor.
«Chasing» behind a boat on water skis is no less exciting. The speed is 35-40 km/h. Either pairs or a single slalom mono-ski are used, the length of which should correspond to the person's height. By the way, falling is not recommended: at high speed, water becomes a very hard surface.
Wakeboarding is a modification of snowboarding or skateboarding, where the wake of a towing boat acts as a ramp. The wakeboard is equipped with «fins» that facilitate control. This type of entertainment requires preliminary preparation.
It is better to master sailing on a board (windsurfing) in calm or light wind. In any case, for the first few lessons, a beginner will have to «stay in the water».
Water activities also include kitesurfing – gliding behind a kite on a board. This is certainly more of a sporting than recreational pastime, requiring sharpened skills and high concentration of effort and attention.
If the above types of active water tourism seem too extreme to you, you can start with a simple ride on a «banana» or try, for example, a quad bike. In the latter case, you will get a lot of pleasant impressions while firmly standing with all four wheels on the ground.
