Officially, it is called Enrico Forlanini Airport – in honor of the first Italian inventor. The airport complex is located 8 km southeast of Milan in the municipality of Peschiera Borromeo and the municipality of Segrate.

The airport first opened in 1930, when the Taliedo airport complex, located near the Milan city limits, became too cramped to handle commercial flights. In the mid-20th century, Linate was completely rebuilt, and in the 1980s it underwent a major renovation. The airport complex has two asphalt runways. For the convenience, safety, and comfort of passengers, there is one passenger terminal housing about 15 various cafés, bars, restaurants, and fast-food outlets.
Also available to passengers in the terminals are a chapel, first-aid station, pharmacy, banking institutions, post office, information desk, luggage storage, and about 40 shops offering a wide selection of bags, photo products, perfumery, cosmetics, watches, souvenirs, and clothing. On the first floor there is a business center, and the Club SEA lounges provide business services, allowing business people to stay abreast of their work, conduct important negotiations, meetings, and conferences. Internet access is available. For children, there are playrooms and a mother-and-child room. Near the airport terminal there is parking and hotels of various price categories.
You can get from the airport to Milan by rental car, taxi, or bus, which runs daily from San Babila metro station every 10 minutes from 6:00 AM to 12:30 AM. Taxi stands are located at the terminal exit, while offices of companies offering car rentals in Italy are in the arrivals hall. There you can also order a car with driver. It is possible to use the commercial bus "Stam". It stops near the railway station. Linate is connected to Milan's largest airport, Malpensa, by a highway with regular bus service.

The Orio al Serio airport complex is located in the municipality of Orio al Serio, 3 km southeast of the center of Bergamo and 45 km from Milan. Since 2003, it has been a major hub for Ryanair. This small international airport is named after the famous Italian painter Caravaggio and is used mainly by low-cost carriers.
It was built in 1937 and long remained a reserve airport. It only gained popularity in 2003 after the arrival of the Irish airline Ryanair and other budget carriers. Direct flights from here operate to Istanbul, London, Madrid, Dublin, Oslo, Liverpool, Palermo, Moscow, Saint Petersburg, and others.
Budget airlines operate flights to smaller cities – Košice, Charleroi, and Cagliari. In terms of passenger traffic, the airport ranks fourth in Italy. The terminal occupies a two-story building and is open 24 hours. However, at night its infrastructure is not operational. During the day, there are numerous restaurants, shops, over 50,000 parking spaces, currency exchange offices, a church, bank branches, a pharmacy, and car rental agencies. You can get from the airport to Milan by rental or private car, taxi, or public transport, including bus or train. The ticket price is 8-15 euros.
