Amfibius Aquapark is located not far from the center of Adler
In anticipation of the 2014 Winter Olympics, both Sochi and Adler "dressed up" with new roads, interchanges, cultural and sports facilities. It is impossible to draw a clear line between the cities – one city smoothly flows into another.
What interesting things can attract attention in this city after you have secured accommodation here for your vacation? The very first place to visit is the Amfibius Aquapark. It is truly a whole small town, spread over two hectares of land. Every vacationer will find entertainment to their liking and budget. Sixteen attractions cannot be covered in one day, so you will have to return here more than once. But the aquapark is worth it. However, it only operates in the summer.

Continuing the animal theme, you can visit the only Institute of Medical Primatology in Russia. Admire the cute faces of the local pets that they make at everyone who wants to interact with them. Here, monkeys are prepared for space flights.
And more about animals, or rather about fish. This is already called "industrial tourism". Those interested can visit the trout farm. Here they grow this "royal" fish – rainbow trout. It was brought from North America in 1911 and was served only to royal persons.
Natural and weather conditions allow growing plants, trees, and shrubs that grow not only in Russia but also in other countries and continents. All this can be seen in the "Southern Cultures" park. Here are collected plants from America, Africa, Japan. Bamboo grows well here, sequoias and cypresses, and cedars feel great. It is best to visit the park in spring-summer, when everything is blooming and fragrant. The park is designed in the best traditions of European park landscape with ponds, meadows, architectural objects.
Another local attraction is the lighthouse. A black-and-white structure from the end of the 19th century, still operational and visible from a distance of thirteen miles. Due to the fact that the republics of Transcaucasia declared themselves sovereign territories, the borders of states changed, and this lighthouse became the southernmost lighthouse in Russia.
Following the marine theme, how can one not visit the Oceanarium. It is the largest in Russia, consisting of 29 aquariums, each housing both marine and freshwater fish. You can see sharks live by walking through a specially made long glass tunnel. They will leave an indelible impression when they suddenly surface and swim overhead. As a souvenir, you can buy souvenirs from the local shop, which will brighten your memories.
Of course, the sea and beaches, the sun and bright blue sky. The mountains prevent cold winds from the north from penetrating here, so there is no harsh snowy winter. Those who are tired of winter and cold will be surrounded here by sun, warmth, and attention not only from nature but also from local residents.
